We would much rather have a difficult conversation with our clients who may have a dog with poor genetics and is likely to not make the miracle change everyone expects than to lie and promise results that are simply not attainable.
Every dog is different; some better or worse than others
Unfortunately, sometimes a dog can have such poor genetics that is a deterrent to learning where slight improvement and a life of management is the only solution..
